DIRECTIONS FOR USE USE ONLY AS DIRECTED

IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO CONTAMINATE THE BAIT WITH ANY FOREIGN SUBSTANCES.  THIS WILL CAUSE THE TERMITES TO REJECT THE BAIT.  TERMITES ARE VERY SENSITIVE TO ANY FOREIGN ODOURS AND WILL REJECT BAIT CONTAMINATED WITH ANY SHARP SMELLING SUBSTANCES.  WEAR RUBBER GLOVES WHILE HANDLING AND SPREADING BAIT.

BAIT APPLICATION

• AN ENTIRE INFESTED AREA MUST BE TREATED FOR GOOD CONTROL, AS TERMITE NESTS MAY EXTEND OVER LARGE AREAS.  Neighbouring properties on which the infestation exists should also be treated to obtain the best results.  Apply 1 gram bait evenly over 1 m² (= 10 kg bait per hectare).  Termites are very sensitive to foreign odours and will reject the bait if it is spread with bare hands, or if the gloves used to apply the bait are contaminated with other substances.  For best results the bait must be applied at the end of summer when termites become active and start foraging for dry grass.  This is usually in April or after the first winter frost.  Apply the bait while the termites are actively foraging, usually from mid-morning onwards. If most of the bait is not harvested within 5 days due to decreased foraging activity, a re-application may be necessary.  Strong winds just after application may disperse the bait and necessitate re-application.  Spot treatment of any active foraging holes found after the initial treatment can be made  by applying 1 g of the bait in a 1 m² area around each hole.  Alternatively, the bait may be placed in small heaps next to any actively foraging hole.
