Precautions

WARNINGS

  • Mist and vapours may irritate the nose, throat and lungs.
  • Prolonged or repeated contact may also cause skin irritation.
  • Store away from food and feed.
  • Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.
  • Do not apply to peach trees and beware of injury to prunes and apricots where wood has ripened poorly, due to climatic conditions.
  • Do not use if free oil is conspicuous on the surface of the remedy before and after dilution.
  • Keep in a cool place and do not expose to the direct rays of the sun.
  • Keep the container closed when not in use.
  • If these directions are observed OLEUM should keep for more than one season.

PRECAUTIONS

  • Wash with soap and water after use.
  • Destroy empty container.

  • Mis en dampe kan die neus, keel en longe irriteer.  Langdurige of herhaalde kontak kan ook vel irritasie veroorsaak.
  • Bêre weg van voer en voedsel.
  • Hou buite bereik van kinders, oningeligte persone en diere.
  • Moet nie op perskebome aanwend nie en pas op vir beskadiging op pruime en appelkose waar die hout weens klimaatstoestande nie goed ryp geword het nie.
  • Moet nie gebruik word wanneer vry olie op die oppervlak van die middel voor of na vermenging opgemerk word nie.
  • Berg dit in 'n koel, droë plek weg van direkte sonlig en sorg dat die houer goed toe is wanneer dit nie gebruik word nie.
  • As hierdie aanbevelings toegepas word, sal OLEUM stabiel bly vir langer as een seisoen.

Directions For Use

DIRECTIONS FOR USE USE ONLY AS DIRECTED

COMPATIBILITY

  • OLEUM is compatible with fixed Copper Fungicides, but if mixed with Lime Sulphur, Wettable Sulphur or any form of active Sulphur, the mixture may cause plant damage if applied when the trees are not completely dormant.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Shake or stir contents thoroughly before use.
  • OLEUM should be thoroughly mixed with an equal quantity of water, after which the mixture should be added to the rest of the water and stirred.

APPLICATION

  • OLEUM is a contact spray and must cover the insects or their eggs to kill them. Therefore spray very thoroughly to cover all parts of the branches, twigs or leaves. Best result will be obtained by using as high a spray pressure as possible.

INSTRUCTIONS

CITRUS, EVERGREEN ORNAMENTALS AND HEDGES

  • To control Red, Purple, Mussel, Pernicious and Soft Brown Scale, Mealy bug, Australian Bug, Bud mite and Red Spidermite:
  • 200 mℓ of OLEUM to 10 litre water.
  • Spray during the cool part of the day.
  • Do not spray when the plants are in flower.
  • Citrus should be sprayed only between the time the fruit reaches walnut size and two months before picking.

DECIDUOUS FRUIT ORNAMENTAL TREES AND SHRUBS IN LEAF

  • To control Aphids and Red Spidermite :  100 mℓ OLEUM to 10 litres water.

DECIDUOUS FRUIT, ORNAMENTAL TREES AND SHRUBS

(Dormant spray)

  • To control Red, Purple, Mussel, Pernicious, Soft Brown Scale and Woolly aphid.  Mealy bug and Bryobia mite eggs:
  • 300 mℓ OLEUM to 10 litres water.
  • Apply in winter when trees are fully dormant.
  • See "Warnings" regarding certain fruit trees.

VERENIGBAARHEID

  • OLEUM is verenigbaar met Koper Swammiddels, maar kan skade veroorsaak sodra dit met kalkswael, benatbare Swael of enige aktiewe Swael gespuit word op bome wat nie heeltemal rustend is nie.

MENGINSTRUKSIES

  • Skud of roer inhoud deeglik voor aanwending.
  • Meng OLEUM deeglik met 'n gelyke hoeveelheid water en voeg dan die mengsel by die res van die water en roer.

TOEDIENING

  • OLEUM is 'n kontakmiddel en moet die insekte of hul eiers bedek om hulle dood te maak.
  • Spuit dus deeglik en spuit om alle dele van die takke, takkies of blare te benat.
  • Om die beste resultate te verkry moet so 'n hoë druk as moontlik gebruik word.

AANWYSINGS

SITRUS, IMMERGROEN SIERPLANTE EN HEININGS

  • Om Rooi-, Pers-, Mossel-, Verderflike- en Sagtebruin dopluis, Witluise, Australiese luis, Knopmyt en Rooispinmyt te beheer :
  • 200 mℓ OLEUM op 10 liter water. 
  • Spuit gedurende die koel gedeelte van die dag.
  • Wanneer die bome blom, moet nie gespuit word nie.
  • Sitrus moet alleenlik bespuit word nadat die vrugte okkerneut grootte bereik het, tot 2 maande voor pluktyd.

BLADWISSELENDE SIERBOME MET BLARE AAN

  • Om plantluise en rooispinmyt te beheer :  100 ℓ OLEUM op 10 liter water.

SAGTEVRUGTE BOME EN BLADWISSELENDE SIERBOME

(Winterbespuiting)

  • Om Rooi-, Pers-, Mossel-, Verderflike- en Sagtebruin dopluis, Witluis, Bloedluis en Bryobiamyt eiers te beheer :
  • Gebruik 300 mℓ OLEUM op 10 liter water.
  • Dit moet gedurende die winter toegedien word wanneer die bome ten volle rustend is.
  • Sien "Waarskuwings" in verband met sekere vrugtebome.
