Do not apply NO ANT™ GRANULES with your bare hands.  Use a spoon or wear clean gloves.  Ants have a very well developed sense of smell, and any unnatural smell (e.g. the oil of the human skin) may lead to the ants rejecting the granules as a food source.

NO ANT™ GRANULES serves as a feeding source for ants.  The granules will be carried to the nest, where the queen and the nest will be controlled.  NO ANT™ GRANULES are slow acting, and ant activity will only reduce 10-14 days after treatment, where-after dead ants will become visible at the entrance to the nests.  Maximum efficacy will only be achieved 42 – 60 days after treatment.

NO ANT™ GRANULES controls ants effectively before they enter structures.  Avoid the application of other pesticides (aerosols and spray applications), it will adversely affect the efficacy of the product.  By applying other insecticides, the ants that have to transport the NO ANT™ GRANULES into the nest will be killed, preventing the granules from reaching the whole nest.

1.  Treatment of existing structures:

• Apply the NO ANT™ GRANULES in a band of 0.5 m wide at a rate of 6g/m², around the building where ant activity is noticed.  Treat ant trails, cracks and crevices where ants might enter.

2.   Overall application:

• Apply the NO ANT™ GRANULES evenly over lawns and other areas at a rate of 40g/100m².

3.   Nest treatment:

• Identify the active nests and apply 30g of the NO ANT™ GRANULES lightly around the active nests.  Do not apply the bait directly onto the mounds.  It will disturb the ants and they may not feed on the bait.

Mode of action:

EFEKTO NO ANT™ GRANULES contains an Insect Growth Regulator, similar to a naturally occurring insect growth hormone, which interferes with growth, development and reproductive capability. EFEKTO NO ANT™ GRANULES breaks the reproductive life cycle of ants. Ant workers pick up the bait granules and take them back to the colony where they feed the bait to both the queen and the immature ants.  The Insect Growth Regulator prevents the queen from producing more eggs and prevents the immature ants from pupating in adult workers. The lack of worker replacement results in colony starvation and eventual death as the existing worker ant’s age and die. Within three to four weeks there is substantial reduction in ant numbers and within eight weeks the majority of the colony has been eliminated.

3.   Nesbehandeling

• Identifiseer die aktiewe neste en dien 30g NO ANT™ KORRELS liggies om die neste of grondhopies toe.  Moenie die lokaas direk op die grondhopies of nes toedien nie.  Die direkte toedieninge bo-op die grondhopies of neste sal die miere versteur en hulle sal die lokaas vermy.
