Precautions

WARNINGS

• Handle with care.
• Poisonous when swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin.  May cause skin and eye irritation.
• Toxic to fish and bees.
• Store away from food, feeds, seed, other agricultural chemicals.
• Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.

PRECAUTIONS

• Do not inhale spray mist.
• Wash contaminated clothing daily.
• Wash with soap and water after use.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst applying, mixing, before washing hands and face, change of clothing.
• Clean applicator with a household ammonia solution (1%) before using with other material.  Let solution stand for several hours, preferably overnight.  Rinse at least twice.  This applicator should not be used for applying chemicals other than herbicides.  Dispose of wash water where it will not contaminate food, grazing, rivers or dams.
• Rinse empty container three times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10% of that of the container.  Add the rinse water to the contents of the spray tank before destroying the container in the prescribed manner.
• Destroy empty container by perforation and flattening and never use for any other purpose.
• Prevent contamination of food, feed, drinking water and eating utensils.

VOORSORGMAATREëLS

•  Moet nie spuitnewel inasem nie.
• Was besoedelde klere daagliks.
• Was met seep en water na gebruik.
• Moet nie eet, drink of rook nie terwyl produk gemeng en toegedien word en voordat hande en gesig gewas is en klere verwissel is.
• Maak spuittoerusting met 'n huishoudelike ammoniakoplossing (1%) skoon voordat ander plaagdoders daarmee gebruik word.  Laat staan die oplossing vir 'n paar uur, verkieslik oornag.  Spoel ten minste twee keer uit.  Hierdie spuittoerusting behoort nie gebruik te word vir die toediening van enige ander chemikalieë nie behalwe onkruiddoders.  Gooi waswater weg waar dit nie voedsel, weiding, riviere of damme sal besoedel nie.
• Spoel leë houer driekeer uit met 'n volume water gelykstaande aan 'n minimum van 10% van die houer.  Gooi die spoelwater by die inhoud van die spuittenk voordat die houer op die voorgeskrewe wyse vernietig word.
• Vernietig leë houer deur gate in te slaan en plat te slaan en moet vir geen ander doel gebruik nie.
• Voorkom besoedeling van voedsel, voer, drinkwater en eetgerei.

USE RESTRICTIONS

• To prevent damage, do not permit drift, vapour or spray mist to come into contact with sensitive broadleaf crops, fruit or ornamentals, or soil in which such plants are to be grown within 12 months, or grain varieties in a susceptible stage of growth.

GROUND APPLICATION

• Apply by means of a knapsack sprayer or pressurized sprayers.
• Avoid fine droplet size - use low pressure flat fan nozzles of 80  or equivalent anti-drift type, and do not exceed spray pressure of 200 kPa.  Spray volume must exceed 150 l/ha.  Do not exceed spray height of 50 cm above target.  Do not apply if wind velocity exceeds 15 km/hour (as measured by handheld wind recorder).

NOTE

• Apply after emergence of broadleaf weeds.  Use only on weeds growing actively in soil with sufficient moisture.  Use only on the fairways in the case of gholf courses.
• Can be used on established lawns and turf consisting of the following grass cultivars.
• Bradley, Elliot, Germiston, Hall's selection, Harrismith, Magennis, Outeniqua, Reitz, Cape Royal, Schaapplaas, Tifton and Zwartkop Blue, Kikuyu, St. Augustine, Swazi and Zoysia.

IMPORTANT

• Application by means of a watering can or equipment attached to garden hoses is not recommended.
• HORMOBAN may cause a discoloration of the grass.  This will be of a temporary nature however.  Active growing Kikuyugrass will be affected more severely and may require a longer period to recover.
• The application of a nitrogenous fertilizer 2 - 3 weeks prior to treating with the herbicide is recommended.

GEBRUIKSBEPERKINGS

• Om skade te voorkom moet verhoed word dat dampe of spuitnewel in aanraking kom met of wegdryf na sensitiewe breëblaargewasse, vrugtebome of sierplante, of grond waarin sulke plante binne 12 maande gekweek gaan word, of graansoorte wat in 'n gevoelige groeistadium is.

GRONDTOEDIENING

• Dien toe deur middel van rugsakspuite en drukspuitpompe.
• Verdun die aanbevole hoeveelheid HORMOBAN met water en dien toe as 'n fyn, egalige bespuiting na opkom van breëblaaronkruid.  Kalibreer spuittoerusting versigtig voor gebruik.
• Vermy fyn druppelgroottes - gebruik laedruk platwaaierspuitpunte van 80 of ekwivalente anti-wegdrywing tipe.  Die spuitdruk moet nie 200 kPa oorskry nie.  Spuitvolume moet 150 l/ha oorskry.  'n Spuithoogte van 50 cm bokant die teiken  moet nie oorskry word nie.  Indien die windspoed hoër is as 15 km/uur (soos bepaal deur 'n handwindmeter) moet die produk nie toegedien word nie.

LET WEL

• Dien na opkom van breëblaaronkruid toe.  Gebruik slegs op onkruid wat aktief groei in grond met voldoende vog.  Gebruik slegs op die skoonveld in die geval van gholfbane.
• Kan op gevestigde grasperke en grasvelde van die volgende graskultivars gebruik word.
• Bradley, Elliot, Germiston, Hall's Selection, Harrismith, Magennis, Outenikwa, Reitz, Cape Royal, Schaapplaas, Tifton en Zwartkop Blou, Kikoejoe, St. Augustine, Swazi en Zoysia.

BELANGRIK

• Toediening deur middel van 'n gieter of toerusting wat aan tuinslange gekoppel word, word nie aanbeveel nie.
• HORMOBAN mag 'n verkleuring van die gras veroorsaak, maar dit sal slegs tydelik van aard wees.  Kikoejoegras wat aktief groei sal meer geaffekteer word en langer neem om te herstel.
• Die toediening van 'n stikstofhoudende kunsmis 2 - 3 weke voor bespuiting met die onkruiddoder word aanbeveel.
