Precautions

WARNINGS

• Poisonous by swallowing. 
• May cause skin and eye irritation.
• Store in a cool place.
• Store away from food, feed, seed, other agricultural chemicals and out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.

PRECAUTIONS

• Do not inhale spray mist.
• Wash with soap and water after accidental skin contact.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst using.
• Avoid drift of spray onto crops, grazing, rivers, dams and any other area not under treatment.
• Wash and rinse spray equipment thoroughly after use and dispose of cleaning liquid where it will not contaminate crops, grazing, rivers and dams.
• Rinse empty container three times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10 % of that of the container.  Add the rinse water to the contents of the spray tank before destroying the container.
• Destroy empty container and never use for any other purpose.
• Prevent contamination of food, feed, drinking water and eating utensils.

• Spoel leë houer drie keer uit met ‘n volume water gelykstsaande aan ‘n minimum van 10 % van die houer.  Gooi die spoelwater by die inhoud van die spuittenk voordat die houer vernietig word.
• Vernietig leë houer en moet nooit vir enige ander doel gebruik nie.
• Voorkom besoedeling van voedsel, voer, drinkwater en eetgerei.

APPLICATION RATE

• 90 mℓ  BASAGRAN in 5 ℓ water per 100 m².

METHOD OF APPLICATION

• Apply as a fine droplet size spray ensuring a thorough and uniform coverage of the weeds.  Ensure that the prescribed quantity of spray mixture is applied to the area as indicated above.  Once the spray mixture is well mixed no further agitation is necessary.

TYPE OF LAWN  

• Any type of grass lawn may be treated.

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS

• Do not use BASAGRAN from April till September. In order to be controlled satisfactorilly, the weeds must grow vigorously when sprayed.  An application of nitrogenous fertilizer 2 - 4 weeks before spraying is recommended.  The lawn should also be irrigated well 1 - 3 days before spraying.
• The leaves of the yellow nutsedge should be visible above the grass and for this purpose the lawn should not be mowed for at least 3 days prior to spraying. 
• Do not mow for at least 7 days after treatment.  Rain within 1 day of application may cause poor results.

NOTE :  Grasses and purple nutsedge (Cyperus rotundus) are not controlled.  BASAGRAN is slow acting.  Corms which were dormant at the time of spraying may germinate and necessitate respraying.

TOEDIENINGSMETOEDE

• Dien as 'n fyn bespuiting toe en verseker egalige en deeglike benatting van die onkruid.  Maak seker dat die voorgeskrewe hoeveelheid spuitmengsel op die aangeduide oppervlak toegedien word.  Nadat die spuitmengsel deeglik vermeng is, is geen verdere roering nodig nie.

 TIPE GRASPERK: 

• Kan op enige grasperksoort gebruik word.

ALGEMENE AANBEVELINGS

• Moenie BASAGRAN van April tot September gebruik nie.  Ten einde goeie beheer te verseker moet die onkruid tydens bespuiting weelderig groei.  'n Toediening van stikstofhoudende kunsmis 2 - 4 weke voor bespuiting word aanbeveel.  Die grasperk moet 1 - 3 dae voor bespuiting, deeglik besproei word.
• Die blare van geeluintjieplante moet bokant die gras sigbaar wees.
• Dus moet die grasperk vir ten minste 3 dae voor bespuiting, nie gesny word nie.  Na bespuiting moet die grasperk vir minstens 7 dae nie gesny word nie.   Reën binne 1 dag na bespuiting kan swak resultate tot gevolg hê.

LET WEL :  Grasse en rooiuintjies (Cyperus rotundus) word nie beheer nie.  BASAGRAN se uitwerking is stadig.  Uintjiebolle wat rustend was tydens bespuiting kan daarna uitloop en 'n opvolgbespuiting genoodsaak.
